Biography
Bob Capuozzo is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice at the University of Georgia. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate level coursework. Dr. Capuozzo is committed to social justice and helping teacher candidates better understand themselves so they can effectively work with all children. Bob is an advocate for play based pedagogies; the arts and creativity; and education of the whole child. In the academic year 2024-25, he will continue to serve as the Mary Frances Early Faculty Senate President.
Dr. Capuozzo directs the MEN in Education Network that seeks to build a community amongst the men in teacher preparation and to connect this group with men that teach in the surrounding schools.
Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Georgia in 2013, Dr. Bob was an Associate Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He completed his doctoral studies at Arizona State University.
