Dominique Calandrillo

Dominique Calandrillo Au.D., CCC-A is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education and an audiologist at the UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic. She earned her Au.D. and M.S. from Gallaudet University. Dr. Calandrillo holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and she is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She also holds a certificate in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy from the Jastreboff Foundation. Her clinical experience includes providing evidence-based diagnostic services and aural rehabilitation to both children and adults. Her current interests include cochlear implants, tinnitus, and electrophysiology, specifically cortical auditory evoked potentials. Dr. Calandrillo teaches undergraduate courses and supervises visiting doctoral candidates completing their clinical training at UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic.

Before joining the College of Education, Dr. Calandrillo was a clinical audiologist at the Center for Hearing and Communication, a non-profit clinic in New York City, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the City University of New York- Queens College. She served as an investigator for the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Technology for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, exploring the effect of clinician-guided auditory cognitive training with older adult cochlear implant users.
