Biography
Dr. Ginny Frederick is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology in the Mary Frances Early College of Education. Prior to beginning her PhD at UGA in 2017, Dr. Frederick was a Project Manager in the Physical Activity and Health Branch at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and a Lecturer of Exercise Science at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Frederick teaches courses in the Exercise and Sport Science major and minor as well as the Personal Health and Well-being minor. Her primary teaching areas are in exercise physiology, exercise prescription, general health and wellbeing, and service learning. She is also the faculty representative for the UGA Exercise is Medicine Club.

Research Summary
Dr. Frederick’s research broadly focuses on the health behaviors of physical activity, sleep, and sedentary time among undergraduate college students, and how these behaviors impact quality of life outcomes. She is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
