Biography
Henry Wear is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Georgia. His research in sport management examines sport branding, fan engagement, marketing strategies, and consumer behavior. His work has been published in leading academic journals including Journal of Sport Management, European Sport Management Quarterly, Sport Management Review, and Sport Marketing Quarterly. He is a regular contributor to conversations on sport branding and fan culture and serves on the editorial boards for Sport Marketing Quarterly, Case Studies in Sport Management, and the Journal of Electronic Gaming and Esports. He has also collaborated on projects with industry-leading organizations such as the Dallas Mavericks, FIFA Club World Cup, Tour de France, Geelong Football Club, Leinster Rugby Football Club, Netball Australia, and the Rajasthan Royals of the Indian Premier League. He received his PhD from the University of South Carolina, his MS from the University of Kansas, and his BS from the University of Oregon.
