IV Bray

Biography

IV Bray completed his undergraduate degree at LaGrange College with hopes of becoming an FBI agent. He worked for the UGA Police Department from 1991-1994 while earning his M.Ed. in Science Education. IV chose instead to become a physics teacher and spent 13 years (1994-2007) teaching in Gwinnett County Public Schools while completing his Ed.S. in Science Education. IV was the Gwinnett County High School Teacher of the Year in 2004 and he earned a variety of local, state, and national awards for teaching and school leadership. He spent 28 years working for GCPS, the last nine (2013-2022) as principal of the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology – the top academic high school in Georgia. IV also spent one year leading Providence Christian Academy before returning to UGA in 2023.

In 2021, IV founded Solutions 4 Education, Inc. where he serves as CEO, supporting schools and executive/aspiring leaders across the landscape of K-12 education.
