Julian Williams

Biography

Julian is an Academic Advisor II for the College of Education’s Kinesiology department. His primary roles include advising undergraduate students in the Sport Management major & Double Dawg program.

Julian received a B.A. in Risk Management & Insurance and BSED in Sport Management from the University of Georgia. Upon graduation he completed the NCAA’s postgraduate internship program and then earned his M.S. in Sport Business Management & MBA from the DeVos Sport Business Management Program at University of Central Florida. Prior to joining the College of Education in July 2019, Julian served as the Director of Academics at the University of Arkansas’s Student-Athlete Success Center. There he oversaw the football, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis academic programs & staff, student-athlete class checking program, and was a member of the academic leadership team.

He worked the previous twelve years within the collegiate athletic industry with stops at Old Dominion University, Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, and the University of Texas at Austin. He is a former UGA men’s basketball student-athlete and was very involved across campus during his time as a student, including being one of the founders of the Georgia DAZE initiative. Julian is dedicated to helping students get the most out of their UGA experience and explore everything that the campus has to offer.
