Kait Carmichael

Biography

Kait Carmichael returns to UGA as a research professional after previously completing her doctoral degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Psychology. During her graduate career, Kait studied the bidirectional relationship between sleep and exercise with specific attention to how napping affects athletic performance. Kait is a former competitive swimmer and two-time half ironman finisher. She previously worked as an instructor of laboratory courses such as exercise physiology, neuromuscular physiology, and scientific principles of fitness, and as a junior sports psychology consultant with the University of North Texas swim and dive team.
