Biography
Kelly Edenfield received three degrees, including a PhD, from the University of Georgia in Mathematics Education. She taught high school mathematics in a metro Atlanta school district, and, upon earning her PhD, she took a position as an Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University. Embracing a unique opportunity to travel the country working with inservice teachers, Dr. Edenfield worked as a professional developer for Carnegie Learning, providing mathematics content and pedagogical on-site support for K-12 mathematics teachers. She then assisted with writing a major revision of the Carnegie Learning middle school mathematics texts. At UGA, Dr. Edenfield worked, primarily, with preservice and inservice secondary mathematics teachers in content and pedagogy courses. As of Fall 2024, Dr. Edenfield works with Northeast Georgia RESA full time and occasionally teaches courses for UGA.
