Lauren F Walker

Lauren was born and raised in Perry, GA but has called Athens home since she was an undergraduate student studying Human Development and Family Science. After graduating from UGA in 2013, Lauren quickly realized she loved Athens too much to ever leave! Lauren serves as the Senior Academic Advisor for students studying Exercise and Sport Science and Sport Management. She LOVES helping students pursue their dreams! Lauren uses a strengths-based approach to academic advising and believes that each student brings their own unique set of strengths that help them reach their full potential.

Lauren earned a M.Ed. in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development in 2023 from the Mary Frances Early College of Education and is a proud Double Dawg. In her spare time you can find her spending time with her husband and goldendoodle, reading, enjoying the amazing food scene around Athens, and cheering on the dawgs!
