Biography
Laurie serves as the Co-Director of the College of Education Office of Undergraduate Advising at the University of Georgia. In this role, she provides leadership for the teacher preparation advising team and oversees advising administration, operations, and professional development. She also advises undergraduate students in Middle Grades Education, Mathematics Education, and Workforce Education (Engineering and Technology).
Laurie has worked in the College of Education for more than five years and brings over a decade of experience in higher education, including service at the University of Georgia and in Ohio. Her work centers on student success, academic planning, and ensuring that students receive clear, consistent, and accurate guidance throughout their academic experience.
She earned a Master of Education in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Social Work from Cleveland State University. Her professional interests include advising practice, organizational development, and the continuous improvement of student support systems.
Having lived in Georgia for more than ten years, Laurie appreciates the mild weather. In her free time, she enjoys cruising and the experiences that come with exploring new places, as well as cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
