Laurie Zielinski

Biography

Laurie is the Co-Director for the College of Education’s Office of Undergraduate Advising at the University of Georgia. In this role, she provides leadership for the teacher preparation advising team and oversees advising administration and development. She also advises undergraduate students in Middle Grades Education, Mathematics Education, and Workforce Education, Engineering and Technology. Laurie has worked in the College of Education for more than five years and has over a decade of experience in higher education at the University of Georgia and in Ohio.

Laurie earned her Master’s degree in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development from the University of Georgia and her Bachelor of Social Work from Cleveland State University. Her professional focus is on student success and ensuring that students receive clear, consistent, and accurate guidance throughout their academic journey.

Having lived in Georgia for more than ten years, Laurie enjoys the mild winters. Outside of work, she spends her time reading, traveling, cooking, and being with her family.
