Biography
Dr. Lindy Parker is the program coordinator for the Student Affairs Leadership doctoral program, and she teaches and mentors students in the College Student Affairs Administration master’s and doctoral programs. Prior to joining the faculty at UGA, Dr. Parker served as the assistant dean for academic programs and a faculty member in the School of Public Health at Georgia State University (GSU), a new college that she helped establish at the university. Dr. Parker has helped build undergraduate- and graduate-level programs, and her work has been funded by the U.S. Department of Education; the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources Services Administration; and the U.S. Department of Defense. She served many other roles during her time at GSU, including director of accreditation and evaluation, academic advisor, administrative coordinator, disability advocate, and researcher. Dr. Parker is also a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia.
