Biography
Dr. Lisa Hamilton-Rajaram is a faculty member in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice. Her research interests include feminist-oriented teacher education and centers the lived experiences of teachers navigating neoliberal schooling, education policy, and community expectations. Her work has been presented at annual meetings of American Education Research Association, American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry, among others. Before entering doctoral study, she served as an assistant principal in New York City, teacher in Metro Atlanta and education facilitator at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.
