Biography

As Program Coordinator for the GA-ESTEEM project in the Mary Frances Early College of Education at the University of Georgia, Mark Baine helps bring together educators, researchers, and partner organizations in support of a shared mission to strengthen Georgia’s educator workforce. He supports a statewide network of stakeholders by coordinating project activities, facilitating communication across groups, managing logistics, and helping translate strategic goals into actionable plans. His work focuses on building the systems, relationships, and structures that enable teams to collaborate effectively and advance initiatives that strengthen teacher preparation, support, and retention throughout Georgia.

Drawing on his educational background and prior experience as a family therapist, Mark values building strong relationships and creating conditions that help others do their best work. He approaches coordination as both an organizational and human endeavor, using communication, empathy, active listening, and thoughtful problem-solving to navigate complex projects, foster collaboration, and support meaningful outcomes for educators and students alike.
