Biography

Monica Williams, Ph.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services. She teaches graduate courses and provides clinical supervision to master’s and doctoral students preparing for careers as professional counselors and psychologists. Dr. Williams also serves as Director of Clinical Training for the M.Ed. in Professional Counseling (Mental Health Counseling) and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology programs, where she supports students’ clinical development and oversees practicum, internship, and other clinical training experiences.

A licensed psychologist, Dr. Williams brings extensive experience in university mental health, clinical training, and supervision to her faculty role. Prior to joining the faculty, she served as Associate Director for Training at UGA’s Counseling and Psychiatric Services. Her professional interests include clinical training and supervision, restorative engagement, mental health and wellness, and the preparation and development of future mental health professionals.
