Robert Cannariato

Biography

With more than 16 years of experience navigating the complex realms of financial management, emergency medicine, and business development, my career has been dynamic and varied. Throughout this period, I have had the honor of playing pivotal roles at prestigious organizations such as Dispatch Health, Key Bank, JP Morgan Chase & Co., and currently at the University of Georgia.

A particularly defining moment in my career occurred during the pandemic when I joined DispatchHealth as an Emergency Medical Technician and interim Business Development Representative. Operating in the vibrant cities of Portland, Oregon, and Atlanta, Georgia, I introduced innovative strategies for inventory management, significantly reducing stock shortages by three days and increasing revenue by 40%. My detailed approach to managing patient demand and fostering strong connections between facilities was instrumental in providing seamless, high-quality services. My ability to handle a wide variety of patients not only resulted in high satisfaction ratings but also in an increase in patient volume.

Previously, at JPMorgan Chase & Co., I earned the “Top Performer” award for my outstanding client portfolio management and for my role as an Interim Field Support Manager, where I ensured operational resilience. At Key Bank, I was responsible for managing audits valued at $16 million and developed strategies to reduce risks.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I harbor a deep passion for the abolition of child trafficking and am actively involved with several organizations dedicated to this cause. This commitment to social justice and child welfare is a core aspect of my personal and professional identity, driving me to contribute to meaningful change in any way I can.

Additionally, I continue to serve as an Emergency Medical Technician within my community on an occasional basis. This role allows me to maintain my connection to emergency medicine and provides an opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge in a hands-on manner, offering immediate help to those in need.

My academic background, an MBA in Finance, has been the cornerstone of my expertise in financial modeling and building enduring relationships. I am known for my problem-solving skills, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail. Over the years, my abilities have expanded to include expertise in emergency medical services, acquisitions, change management, and business development.

Currently, as the Budget and Grants Manager at the Mary Frances Early College of Education at the University of Georgia, I am excited to leverage my extensive experience in financial operations, emergency medicine, and business development. My objective is to work closely with college leadership on strategic financial planning, enhancing educational and research initiatives, and promoting transformative growth in the academic sector.
