Roy P. Martin

I was born in Boston, Mass., as my parents were serving in the Military during WWII. I grew up primarily in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Attended the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester (New York) for one year before transfering to the University of New Mexico where I received my undergraduate degree (Psychology) and masters degree (Counseling). I then attended the University of Texas in Austin and attained by Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 1970. My first teaching position was at Temple University in Philadelphia, where I served from 1970 through 1979. I then was offered a position at the University of Georgia, and have been at UGA since that time.
